Products DescriptionShower of Sweets ProductionAuthor/Originator: Tom Osborne This classic bit of prestidigitation is ideal for the wedding, society, or corporate magician who performs where food is being served and there are cloth napkins on the table. Here's the effect: The magician covers an empty dish with a napkin. Then he lifts the napkin up and away from the dish by one of the corners, letting the other three corners hang down. He shakes the napkin several times and a shower of after-dinner Mints, Nuts, Chocolates, etc., cascades down upon the dish. In this Classics of Magic booklet from 1945, Osborne gives you three different routines and handling options: 1) When you are seated at a table: 2) When you are standing close to the audience; and 3) For night club and stage performances. He also explains how to make up the load bag, including an impromptu bag which can be quickly formed using a handkerchief or cloth napkin. Osborne was proudest of this latter innovation. In addition to the detailed instruction, John Braun contributed a brief history of the effect which pre-dates Robert-Houdin. 20 pages, retypeset, 40 illustrations.
