MY COMMENTS:
One of the most talked about routines from Colin McLeod's
best-selling OPENING MINDS set is his "Bookless Book Test. "
He even performed it on the television show Penn & Teller
Fool Us. (You can see his performance on YouTube). This
45-page PDF manuscript details both the original handling
and variations using the idea. It includes many color
photographs to illustrate the routine.
The blurb is pretty accurate as to its contents. I will
only add that the original effect requires a gimmick that
you may have to purchase at a magic shop if you do not
already have it. However, McLeod includes a version which
uses a gimmick one can make using desktop publishing.
McLeod is certainly one of mentalism newest thinkers, as
those who have his OPENING MINDS know. If you're a fan of
the "Bookless Book Test, " then you probably have skipped my
comments and gone right to order it. If you're unfamiliar
with this, this certainly is a work that has practical ideas
that I should think every mentalist would be interested in.
